Elin Suleymanov attends Easter Banquet with London's Lord Mayor

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to the UK, Elin Suleymanov, attended a banquet in London dedicated to the Christian holy Easter holiday, Report informs.

"Thank you, Susan Langley, Lady Mayor of the City of London, for welcoming the diplomatic corps to Mansion House for the splendid Easter Banquet!

Always a pleasure to see my good friend Ambassador [Serbian ambassador to the UK] Goran Aleksić," Suleymanov wrote on X.

Susan Langley is the 697th Lord Mayor of London, elected on November 7, 2025, for a one‑year term. The position of Lord Mayor, which has existed for 800 years, is distinct from the Mayor of London. Langley previously built a successful career in finance and insurance, and her goal is to preserve the city"s global standing as a financial center.

The Mayor of London is Sadiq Khan, a member of the Labour Party. He was first elected in 2016 and won reelection in May 2024, securing a third consecutive term.
