State agency: 50% of work on new automobile road in Baku completed

In Baku, approximately 50% of the work on the construction of a new road from Hasan Aliyev Street to the Koroghlu metro station, running parallel to Ziya Bunyatov Avenue, has already been completed, stated Fariz Azizov, advisor to the chairman of the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads, at WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
According to him, the project includes 4 tunnels, an underground pedestrian crossing, and traffic-light-free traffic solutions, creating alternative east-west connections.
"The project is aimed at reducing the structural load on Heydar Aliyev and Ziya Bunyatov avenues and improving the mobility balance between parts of the city," Azizov noted.
