Azerbaijan’s Parliament decides to suspend cooperation with European Parliament in all areas

The Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan has adopted a decision regarding the anti-Azerbaijani activities of the European Parliament, as the issue was included in the agenda of the plenary session held on May 1.

The text of the decision was presented by Deputy Speaker Ziyafet Asgarov.

According to the decision, the Milli Majlis is suspending cooperation with the European Parliament in all areas. The participation of the Milli Majlis in the EU–Azerbaijan Parliamentary Cooperation Committee has been terminated. It was also decided to initiate procedures for terminating membership in the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly in accordance with its charter. During the procedural period, the Azerbaijani delegation will not participate in Euronest Parliamentary Assembly events.
