Vesti.az with reference to local media. According to the amendments, criminal liability for violation of the legislation on public procurement occurs in the event of significant damage (from 50,000 to 250,000 manats) provided for in Articles 308.2.1–308.2.3 The Criminal Code If the damage does not reach the established threshold, the violation will be classified as administrative and subject to the sanctions of the Administrative Code. An important change was the extension of the term of administrative responsibility. Previously, it was 4 months, which complicated the process of investigation and legal assessment of violations. The new bill provides for an increase in this period to 1 year, which will make it possible to more effectively identify and prevent offenses. The bill was put to the vote and adopted in the third reading.
