NEWS2026.Azerbaijan begins apple exports to Kyrgyzstan, Spain
In January-April of 2026, Azerbaijan exported 40,737 tons of apples, valued at $32.6 million, marking a year-on-year increase of 5% and 22.5%, respectively, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan sold apples to:
- Russia: 33,321 tons (-7%) worth $26.3 million (+9%);
- Uzbekistan: 1,679 tons (+3.2 times) worth $2.1 million (+3.4 times);
- Türkiye: 1,872 tons (+14 times) worth $1.9 million (+10 times);
- Kazakhstan: 1,886 tons (+87%) worth $786,000 (+95%);
- The United Arab Emirates: 445 tons (-50%) worth $515,000 (-32%).
In 2026, Azerbaijan exported apples to Kyrgyzstan (18.5 tons worth $12,200) and to Spain (30 tons worth $41,000) for the first time since 2011 (publicly available foreign trade statistics date back to 2011).
