Jordanian media outlets have provided extensive coverage of Baku’s urban transformation, highlighting the city’s blend of cultural heritage, modern infrastructure, and tourism potential.

An article published in the Al-Rai newspaper spotlighted the “Baku White City” and “Sea Breeze” projects as two flagship urban development initiatives in Azerbaijan, along with the Port of Baku.

Providing information about Icherisheher, Nizami Street, the Seaside Park, the Flame Towers, and other landmarks, the author portrayed Baku as a captivating capital that harmoniously combines its rich historical heritage with modern, futuristic development, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.

It was noted that the Flame Towers stand as a modern symbol of Baku and a tribute to Azerbaijan’s ancient fire-worship heritage, merging historical symbolism with contemporary high-tech design.

A report broadcast on Jordan’s Roya TV channel highlighted Baku’s ongoing large-scale and multi-faceted transformation in line with a sustainable “smart city” development model.

Emphasizing that Baku has entered a phase of extensive development characterized by major infrastructure projects, rapid urbanization, and a shift toward sustainable urban planning, the coverage drew attention to the “White City” project, launched in 2011, which transformed a former industrial zone into a modern, eco-friendly urban space. The Sea Breeze project, implemented along the Caspian Sea coast, was described as one of the largest integrated tourism and residential complexes in the region. By combining modern residential infrastructure with recreation and entertainment facilities, the project strengthens Baku’s position as a regional and international tourism hub.

The report also highlighted the strategic importance and operational capacity of the Baku International Sea Trade Port, which serves as a key logistics hub connecting Europe and Asia.
