Azerbaijan-Pakistan: development of tourism ties

An introductory visit to Azerbaijan has been organized for representatives of the Pakistani tourism industry The Azerbaijan Tourism Board organized a familiarization trip to our country for representatives of 10 leading travel companies from Pakistan.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce the participants to Azerbaijan's tourism potential, key tourism products, and hospitality opportunities. During the trip, the participants visited Baku, Shabran, Quba, and Qusar districts, where they learned about the country's rich cultural heritage, natural tourism resources, and recreation options.
As part of the program, a B2B networking event was organized on June 12. The event featured meetings between the representatives of Pakistani travel companies and around 50 companies from the Azerbaijani tourism industry.
It is worth noting that during 2025, the number of visitors from Pakistan to Azerbaijan increased by 13 percent compared to the previous year, totaling 91,043 people. Currently, "Azerbaijan Airlines" CJSC (AZAL) operates direct flights between Baku and the cities of Lahore and Islamabad, while "Pakistan International Airlines" (PIA) and "Airblue" run direct flights on the Lahore-Baku route.
