Azerbaijan to Host the 10th World Gastronomy Tourism Forum

Azerbaijan has been selected by UN Tourism as the host country for the 10th World Gastronomy Tourism Forum, scheduled for 2027.

The forum is planned to take place in Gabala in June 2027.

Hosting this international event is of great importance for promoting Azerbaijan’s rich gastronomic heritage internationally and developing gastronomic tourism. During the forum, the country’s national cuisine, traditional gastronomic heritage, and local products will be presented to international tourism and gastronomy experts.

Organized by UN Tourism since 2015, the World Gastronomy Tourism Forum brings together professionals, academics, producers, entrepreneurs, and government representatives operating in the fields of tourism and gastronomy.

Main Objectives of the Forum:

Promote the exchange of knowledge and experience in gastronomy tourism.

Identify successful practices and strengthen the role of gastronomy tourism in destination development.

Ensure the preservation of local gastronomic traditions and cultural heritage.

Showcase local products and support economic development through tourism.

Hosting this event in Azerbaijan will significantly contribute to presenting the country's gastronomic potential to an international audience, expanding cooperation opportunities in tourism investment and education, and developing business relations with representatives of the international tourism industry.
