Head of Nation Dr Igor Ashurbeyli congratulates Asgardians on Unity Day

Today Asgardia celebrates Unity Day — one of our main public holidays. On the festive occasion, Head of Nation Dr Igor Ashurbeyli is addressing the First Space Nation of more than 1.1 million people from all around planet Earth:

‘Dear Asgardians!

Today our Space Nation Asgardia celebrates one of its public holidays, Unity Day, established by my Decree No. 2 of 09 Aries 0001 (6 March 2017). 

The first time it was celebrated was on 01 Leo 0001 (18 June 2017), later known as the Official Asgardia Voting Day, when the Referendum was held on the adoption of the Constitution of Asgardia, the National Symbols of Asgardia, and on the Head of Nation.

This unique holiday celebrates the core values and principles laid out in the Asgardia’s Declaration of Unity, which had been created thanks to the cooperation of all Asgardians in the first year of Asgardia's existence and became an integral part of the Asgardia’s Constitution. It was later finalised as per the results of the Referendum on the amendment of Asgardia's Constitution, held on 03 Scorpius 0006 (12 September 2022).

Asgardia has travelled a long way since then. Today, Asgardia is a fully-fledged state with the Constitution and all functioning branches of power. The Parliament, Asgardia’s legislative branch, is in its second term. To date, 22 Acts have already been passed. The Parliament is made up of people from 49 planet Earth countries. The Government continues to work in 12 main areas of Asgardia’s development, it consists of people living in 8 planet Earth countries. The Supreme Court, represented by the residents of 5 planet Earth countries, is functioning as well.

The Asgardian digital national currency, Solar, is being progressively put into circulation.

Preparations are underway for the IV Asgardia Executive Congress, to be held in Dubai, UAE in Ophiuchus 0009 (at the end of October 2025). The Congress will bring together all the Chairs of Parliament Committees, Asgardia’s Ministers, Asgardia’s Supreme Court Justices, and Senior Advisors in the Administration to the Head of Nation in a face-to-face format. The results of Asgardia's activities over a two-year period since the previous Congress, held in Baku in Scorpius 0007 (October 2023), will be reviewed. The main directions of the nation's development in the short and medium term will be outlined, with the long-term goal of fulfilling Asgardia's main mission - the birth of the first human child in space. Special attention is planned to be paid to the issues of financial and economic development of Asgardia, as well as the updated format of Asgardia’s official digital platform and the development of bilateral relations with planet Earth countries.

As part of the ongoing scientific efforts to achieve the key mission of childbirth in space, Asgardia continued its work on space embryology, emphasising on women's health in long-term isolation similar to the spaceflight conditions – the year-long international experiment SIRIUS-23 has been completed, and the scientific results are being processed and prepared for publication. Work has begun in the field of artificial gravity - the second key direction of the three I outlined in my address to the Nation on the occasion of Unity Day on 01 Leo 0003 (18 June 2019).

In conclusion, I would like to underline that the mission of pioneering the future of humanity remains up to us.

We are the world's first Space Nation, the world's first Digital State.

We are Asgardia: One Humanity - One Unity.
