Prospects for expanding tourism relations between Azerbaijan and Greece discussed

On July 15, Fuad Naghiyev, Chairman of the State Tourism Agency, met with Ms. Maria Papakonstantinou, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the current state of tourism cooperation between the two countries and potential prospects for collaboration were discussed.
The parties exchanged views on the importance of improving transport accessibility to enhance the dynamics of mutual tourist flows. It was also highlighted that charter flights from Baku to the Greek island of Crete are currently being successfully operated. The sides noted that restoring direct and regular flights between the two countries in the future would contribute to the expansion of tourism relations.
At the end of the meeting, the importance of strengthening bilateral promotional activities was emphasized to mutually showcase the tourism potential of Azerbaijan and Greece.
