Baku hosts presentation of documentary on Azerbaijani martyred journalists

The Central Scientific Library in Baku hosted a presentation of documentary highlighting the valor of the Azerbaijani journalists martyred while performing their professional duties during the battles for Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The screening of the documentary was initiated by the Mahmud Kashgari International Foundation.

The opening remarks were delivered by Javanshir Feyziyev, member of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, President of the Mahmud Kashgari International Foundation; Sevil Hasanova, professor of the Multimedia and Electronic Communications Department of the Faculty of Journalism at the Baku State University; Mahir Garibov, Head of the History Department of the Socio-Political Programs Studio of the Azerbaijan Television, Doctor of Philosophy in History; Asif Rustamli, professor at the Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS); Khadija Heydarova, Head of the Department of History of the Azerbaijani Language at the Nasimi Institute of Linguistics of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, and others.

The film highlights the life and activity of the martyred journalists, including Chingiz Mustafayev, Salatin Asgarova, Kazimagha Karimov, Ali Mustafayev, Osman Mirzayev, Fakhraddin Shahbazov, Davud Gurbanov, as well as AZERTAC’s correspondent Maharram Ibrahimov, and AZTV’s cameraman Siraj Abishov.
