Cooperation Platform of OTS Financial Intelligence Units established in Baku

A memorandum on the establishment of the Cooperation Platform of Financial Intelligence Units of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was signed on July 10 during the 3rd International Forum of Financial Intelligence Units of the Organization of Turkic States held in Baku.

With the signing of the memorandum, a new cooperation mechanism was established, defining the institutional framework for cooperation among the financial intelligence units of the OTS member states. The Cooperation Platform will strengthen cooperation among the financial intelligence units of the member states, promote the exchange of information and experience, and support joint initiatives to combat money laundering, the financing of terrorism, and the financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

The establishment of the Cooperation Platform was one of the key outcomes of the Shusha Initiative, adopted at the International Forum of Financial Intelligence Units of the Turkic States, and the Annual Roadmap for Effective Cooperation of Financial Intelligence Units of the Turkic States, which was approved to facilitate its implementation.
