In Azerbaijan, 13 Graduates from the Same Class Admitted to Medical Faculty

The 11th "A" class of the Sumgait City Gymnasium with a bias in natural sciences has drawn attention with its outstanding results in the 2026/2027 academic year university entrance examinations.
According to Oxu.Az, citing the Absheron-Khizi Regional Education Department, 17 graduates from this class scored over 500 points, while 13 students surpassed the 600-point mark. Notably, 13 graduates successfully entered the Azerbaijan Medical University, majoring in General Medicine.
The highest score was achieved by Samir Taghizade, who secured a perfect 700 points.
Other top-performing graduates include Inji Mursagulieva (690.2 points), Aysel Farhadova (682.6 points), Huseyn Naghiyev (682 points), Amin Tahirzade (679.1 points), and Rughiyakhanim Safizade (675.4 points).
The class's success extended beyond the standard entrance exams. Ilham Aliyev, Huseyn Taghizade, and Davud Tarverdi earned direct, out-of-competition university admission due to their achievements in subject olympiads.
In addition to the Azerbaijan Medical University, the graduates were admitted to prestigious higher education institutions, including Baku State University, Karabakh University, the Heydar Aliyev Military Institute, and ADA University.
