В Москве состоялась церемония закладки памятника Гейдару Алиеву

A monument to the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, will be erected in the Russian capital. It will be located in the park near the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Moscow, where a solemn ceremony was held today.

The ceremony was attended by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Saveliev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Rahman Mustafayev, and veterans of the construction of the Baikal-Amur Mainline.

The memorial plaque reads: "A monument to Heydar Aliyev, twice the Hero of Socialist Labor, an outstanding statesman and politician, Chairman of the Commission of the Council of Ministers for the Construction and Development of the Baikal-Amur Mainline, will be erected here."
