I congratulate you on the birthday of Asgardia. I thank every single one of you who has supported Asgardia for these eight years, and those who have recently joined our unique community.
The first-ever Space Nation in human history, Asgardia, is united by the idea of the future of humanity in space and the prime objective - the birth of the first child in space. No one has ever set such an objective before. After all, it is more than just a symbol. It assures the infinity of human propagation as a biological species in the universe, apart from planet Earth. Only by achieving this goal through the creation of artificial gravity, protection from cosmic radiation and the development of space embryology will mankind be able to claim that not only is the door to deep space exploration open to it, but also that cosmological, environmental and geopolitical catastrophes no longer threaten humans with total annihilation.
In a month, the international year-long ground-based SIRIUS-23 isolation experiment, incorporating the Asgardian programme for studying women's health when exposed to space flight factors, will come to an end. Representatives of our Space Nation officially participate in the second experiment in a row. We also anticipate the next stage - an isolation experiment with married couples.
Ten years have passed since I founded, back in 2014, ROOM Space Journal of Asgardia, and over the years, it gained a reputation of a respected expert publication, hence boosting Asgardia's position in the global space community. The magazine has celebrated this anniversary by being represented at major space industry events, such as the Colorado Space Symposium and the Farnborough International Airshow.
Finally, I wish to inform you that a historic event has taken place this year. The Supreme Space Council of Asgardia has adopted the Declaration of Independence of Asgardia. This document is a unilateral declaration proclaiming Asgardia an independent state, and at the same time a direct formal invitation to other countries to recognise our sovereignty. Given the geopolitical situation on planet Earth, this is not an easy task, but our intentions remain unchanged.
Once again, I congratulate everyone on the holiday!
We are Asgardia: one humanity, one unity.
I embrace each and every one of you.
