International STEAM Azerbaijan Festival kicks off at Baku Expo Center
The International STEAM Azerbaijan Festival (SAF 2025) has commenced at the Baku Expo Center with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and “STEAM Azerbaijan” project.
A video featuring the 5th anniversary of the SAF Festival was screened.
Addressing the Festival, Igrar Nazarov, head of the “STEAM Azerbaijan” project, noted that the “STEAM Azerbaijan” project covers more than 300 thousand students and more than 400 schools. He emphasized that in total, 21 STEAM Centers operate across the country.
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev highlighted the importance of the STEAM Azerbaijan project. The Minister underlined that starting from the next academic year, both teacher training in individual subjects and teaching STEAM- education as a separate methodology and specialty will be launched at Garabagh University. The Minister noted that the number of students participating in the STEAM Azerbaijan project has increased many times over.
Thousands of students, mentors and experts from more than 20 countries participate in 18 competition categories within the framework of the festival. The competition categories include robotics, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, drone and satellite technologies, art, innovative projects and engineering.
The International STEAM Azerbaijan Festival will run until November 19.
